Introduction
Ministry of Environment & Forest – GOI via it’s gazette notification GSR 560 (E) & 378 (E), dated 19 September 1997 and 30 June 1998 respectively on use of beneficiated coal containing ash not more than 34% w.e.f. June 2002 in the following categories of power plants.
- Power plants located beyond 1000 kms from pithead.
- Power plants located in critically polluted areas, urban areas and in ecologically sensitive areas.
The current focus for Operations of GCMPL are mainly in the Indian states of Telangana and Odisha, which jointly account for almost one-third of total coal reserves in India.
At present, the Company has 4 functional coal washeries at Talcher & Ib Valley in Odisha and Ramagundam & Manuguru in Telangana.
The worksites are strategically located in close proximity of respective mines and railway siding.

Background
Global Coal & Mining Private Limited (hereinafter called “the Company” or “GCMPL”) was incorporated in the year 1998. The prime focus of GCMPL is coal beneficiation, transportation and logistics of coal and coal trading in mineral rich states of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It has total installed capacity of 10.00 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) distributed amongst its four coal washeries located in the state of Odisha at Talcher (4.0 MTPA) and Ib Valley (3.5 MTPA), and in the state of Telengana at Ramagundam (1.0 MTPA) and Manuguru (1.5 MTPA).
Coal beneficiation and allied activates remains the core area of operations, the Company is also operating a 1.5 MW wind mill at Suthri in Kachchh district of Gujarat and recently commissioned a 10 MW solar power plant in Rangareddy district of Telangana.
The GCMPL is a closely held company with 100% equity holding with promoters.

Mr. Patra is a Mining Engineer. He has been associated with the Company and promoters since last 30 years. Mr. Patra is overall looking after the affairs of the Company. He is a driving force in implementation of business strategies to achieve the targets set by Board of Directors of the Company. He has vast experience of developing the green field projects of coal mines and setting up the coal beneficiation plants.

One of the main founders of GCMPL , post having served in the Indian Army, he along with Mr. Rudra Sen Sindhu established coal mining and transportation company “Sainik Mining and Allied Services “(SMASL) in the year 1981. It is now one of the leading coal mining companies in India. He was also the pioneer in introducing surface miner, then a new technology, in the coal mining industry in India. SMASL along with Thriveni has recently been awarded the largest Mine development and operator (MDO) contract, Pakri Barwadi ,a 15 million ton per year coal contract for NTPC (National thermal and power Corporation). The project has been successfully implemented .He is one of the main founders behind Global Coal and mining private limited. It was with his guidance GCMPL was incorporated as a coal beneficiation company.
K. Patra

Mr. Patra is a Mining Engineer. He has been associated with the Company and promoters since last 30 years. Mr. Patra is overall looking after the affairs of the Company. He is a driving force in implementation of business strategies to achieve the targets set by Board of Directors of the Company. He has vast experience of developing the green field projects of coal mines and setting up the coal beneficiation plants.

Mr. Mandhani is a known name in the Indian coal industry particularly in South India. His ventures include inter-alia Coal Imports and Trading. He is known for his dynamic acumen to run various business activities successfully. He has established himself as a successful entrepreneur for over last 2 decades and now leads a team of associates and professionals rom various disciplines.
Manisha Solanki Bedla

She completed her Bachelor of Science (Economics) from George Washington University, Washington DC. Post that she worked in Spain, in a hedge fund” Vega Asset management “for a year. She joined the company in the year 2006. She has served on the board of GCMPL since then. She is responsible for overseeing new projects being implemented by the company.

Mr. R.S. Sindhu, Chairman Cum Managing Director of Aryan Group, completed his bachelor’s degree in arts in 1976 from Birendra Narayan Chakrabarty University and joined the Indian Army in 1977. After completing the short service commission period of five years, he joined his family concern, M/s. Mitter Sen and Co., which was then engaged in the business of iron ore mining. Mr. Rudra Sen Sindhu has been with our Company since March 14, 1997.

Mr. Vir Sen Sindhu completed his bachelor’s degree in arts in 1979 from Maharishi Dayanand University and joined his family concern, M/s. Mitter Sen and Co. in 1979. He is the joint managing director of the Company looking after the Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh regions and oversees the washing, power, and logistics operations in that region. Mr. Vir Sen Sindhu has been with our Company since March 14, 1997. He has approximately 35 years of experience in the coal sector.

He has handled various projects of different capacities. Currently he is responsible for running of Ib Valley plant.

. Chouhan has been the Company Secretary at GCMPL since 2017. He is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and holds degrees in Commerce and Law.
He has over 12 years of post-qualification experience in the field of Secretarial and Legal matter of various companies. Exposure in Handling Public, Rights issues, Conducting AGMs, EGMs, Board Meeting, Secretarial Audits, and Financial Audits, well versed with Statutory Compliance under SEBI Regulations, Stock Exchange Listing Agreements, FEMA, RBI, ESI, PF, Company Law and related acts.
